Smartphone brand OPPO is teaming up with American research centre NYU WIRELESS at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering to sponsor research aimed at creating the next generation of wireless technologies.

OPPO will collaborate with NYU WIRELESS on 5G network technology and work with students and faculty on 5G related research projects. NYU WIRELESS is a recognized internationally in 5G research that links its affiliates, as well as researchers at other universities, in its 5G mmWave research. Its research was cited by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) when the commission explored the future of millimeter technology.
